Mr. Franklin “Kit” Driggers, age 74, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017, after a brief illness.

Born February 9, 1943 in Bennettsville, SC, he was a son of the late Hamer Lee Driggers and Anna Coble Driggers. He worked as a welder in the construction industry and also as a maintenance man for Bennett Pointe Apartments. He attended Bennettsville First Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed bass fishing and sports, especially Clemson Tiger football and North Carolina Tarheels basketball, and NASCAR. He enjoyed buying, selling, and collecting at the Flea Markets. He enjoyed going to the beach to watch shows at Legends and Fishing off the Springmaid Pier.

He is survived by his wife Ethel Louise Swann Driggers of Bennettsville; brother-in-law Jack Swann (Betty) of Bennettsville; sisters-in law, Avon Kirby (Theodore) of Bennettsville, Shirley Swann of Bennettsville; A host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents listed above, a sister, a brother, and two brothers-in-law’s.

Funeral Services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Bennettsville First Church of the Nazarene. A visitation will be held from 2-3 p.m. just prior to the service. Rev. Jimmy Burks will be officiating.
