Mr. Marion “Mac” D. Killingsworth, age 76, passed away, Saturday, February 18, 2017, at the Heritage Home of Florence, after an illness.
Born August 27, 1940 in Williamson, Ga. He is the son of the late Robert and Mary Ackiss Killingsworth. He was retired from Liberty Life Insurance agency where he was an agent. He served in the United States Airforce. He attended Chesterfield-Marlboro Technical College and Gardner Military College receiving his associates degree. He was a dedicated member of Thomas Memorial Baptist Church in Bennettsville where he was a deacon, youth leader, church treasurer, member of the choir, and enjoyed cooking for the men’s breakfast. He was a member of the Marlboro Masonic Lodge #88 A.F.M., He was a past president of the Kiwana’s Club. He started the Prison Ministry at Evans Correctional Institute, and also volunteered at Marlboro Park Hospital.
He is survived by his wife Patsy Goodson Killingsworth; His sons, Steve Anderson of Socastee, SC, and Jon Anderson of Davenport, FL; his brothers, Bobby Killingsworth of Dublin, GA, John Killingsworth of Griffin, GA, Tim Killingsworth of Griffin, GA, and Terry Killingsworth of Griffin, GA; his sisters, Robin Edney of Centersville, GA and Debbie McAfee of Griffin, GA; his step-mother, June Killingsworth of Griffin, GA; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents listed above.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 2:30 pm,Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Park in Bennettsville. A visitation will be held immediately following the service in the cemetery. Services will be officiated by Dr. Jerry Roberston and Rev. Brian Crouch.
