Mr. Robert J. Driggers, 76, passed away Monday, July 10, 2017 at his residence.

Born June 16, 1941 in Bennettsville, he was a son of the late Ethel Driggers. He was a furniture maker and was a Methodist. Mr. Robert was an army veteran of the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Parachutist Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Air Medal. He enjoyed painting, wood working and NASCAR. His favorite driver was Carl Edwards and he loved listening to Elvis.

Surviving are his wife, Oanh T. VU Driggers of the home; aunts, Juanita Crowley and husband Ernest of Bennettsville, and Patsy Driggers of Bennettsville; special cousins, Charles and Cliff Driggers; and a host of cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother; and sister, Pebby Driggers.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday July 14, 2017 at Burroughs Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 until 2 p.m. just prior to the service at the funeral home.
