Charles “Jody” Dudley Haithcock, 72, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at McLeod Health in Cheraw, SC after a brief illness.
Born November 8, 1945 in Marlboro County, he was a son of the late Lester Edward and Daisy Rebecca Dudley Haithcock. He was a retired Fire Warden with the S.C. Forestry Commission and a retired farmer. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and drag racing. Jody was a member of Parnassus United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Williamson Haithcock; son, Jody Travis Haithcock of Blenheim; daughter, Rebecca Lynette Haithcock of Blenheim; sister, Sara Frances Steele of Blenheim; grandchildren, Charles Edward Bailey Haithcock, Patrick Blake Rogers, and Leonidas “Leo” Rodney Haithcock.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his infant son, Charles Edward Haithcock; uncle, Julian Dudley.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 at Burroughs Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Dudley-Drake Cemetery in Blenheim. Visitation will be from 3 until 4 p.m. just prior to the service at the funeral home.
