Lt. Leonard W. Frazier passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017 at his home. He was 77 years old.
Born July 17, 1940 in Bennettsville, SC, he was a son of the late Joseph Thomas and Alice Leviner Frazier. He served in the National Guard Reserves for eleven years, and with the Bennettsville Police Department for 39 years where he retired as lieutenant. Lt. Frazier loved being with his family and especially enjoyed family gatherings. He enjoyed horseback riding, and collected old westerns and western music. He attended the Bennettsville Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Jean Wilkerson Frazier; two sons, Joseph Thomas “Joey” Frazier (Dana) and Michael Edward Frazier (Vanessa) both of Bennettsville; three daughters, Lisa Frazier Galloway (Darryl) and Debbie Frazier Quick (Chris) both of Bennettsville and Rebecca Jean “Becky” Keith (Marcus) of Hartsville; a brother Billy Darryl Frazier of Bennettsville; a sister-in-law, Yvonne Frazier of Bennettsville; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and an abundance of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Alice Frazier Herndon, and two brothers, Ernest Frazier, and Thomas Lee “Tommy” Frazier.
A funeral will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, December 28, 2017 at First Pentecostal Holiness Church, officiated by Rev. Thomas Buck. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Burroughs Funeral Home Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM.
