Mr. Timothy “Timmy” Edward Stubbs, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence after an illness. He was 47 years old.
Timmy was born on March 27, 1970. He was the son of the late Francis Edward “Spanky” and Teresa Ann Freeman Stubbs. He attended Victory World Outreach Center. He was an EMT for the Marlboro County Rescue Squad and Dispatcher for the city of York. He was a 1988 graduate of Bennettsville High School, were he was number 76 for the Green Gremlins football team. He helped with the family business, Stubbs & Sons Wrecker Service and B&G wrecker service. He enjoyed helping people, singing, working with both the police and rescue squad, and most importantly spending time with his family.
Timmy is survived by his daughters, Brittany Christine Steele and husband Samuel of Chester, SC; Helen Rachael Cordell and husband Timothy of Jonesville, SC; and Teresa “Tessie” Suzannah Stubbs of Valley Park, MO; grandchild, Alistair Wallace Cordell “Thumper”; beloved uncle Johnny and Aunt Emily Freeman, uncle Woodrow Stubbs, Jr. and aunt Bari Stubbs, uncle Milton Stubbs, and Theodore Kirby and aunt Avon Kirby; aunt Tina and uncle Wayne Sessoms; treasured cousins Frances Loclklear (Evan), Dora Locklear, Buddy Kirby (Sheila), and Charles Kirby; and countless other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents listed above; maternal grandparents, Louise Frazier Freeman and Henry Thomas Freeman, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Woodrow Stubbs, Sr. and Frances Brewer Stubbs; uncle, Donnie Gainey; and aunt, Ann Stubbs Kirby.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Victory World Outreach Center, officiated by Rev. J.R. Chavis. A visitation will follow the service at the church.
