Ms. Annie Dial Askins passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021 after an illness at AGAPE Hospice House in Columbia.

She was born on April 26, 1940 in Marlboro County, SC to the late William Cousar and Marcella Driggers Dial. She a member of Ashland United Methodist Church and was a member of the Sunshine Circle, where she sewed with a group of ladies making dresses for foreign countries that were given as donations. She graduated from Lower Marlboro High School and the McLeod Infirmary School of Nursing. She worked as a RN at SC Baptist Hospital, DHEC, SC Department of Mental Health, and the South Carolina Department of Corrections. She retired from the SC Dept. of Corrections but continued to work for 7 years at Morris Village (SC Dept. Mental Health).

Annie is survived by two sisters; Deborah Kelly of Largo, FL and Eleanor Fine of Bennettsville, SC; nieces, Melanie Walton, Nancy Fine, and Lisa Fine; nephews, Richard Kelley and Larue Fine, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents listed above; son, Greg; brothers, Edward Dial and James Dial
