Mrs. Annie Ruth Quick Lane, 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 28, 2020, after a long illness.
Mrs. Lane was born on April 16, 1939, in Marlboro County. She was the daughter of the late Donnie and Lucy Barrington Quick. She was married to the love of her life, the late John M. Lane, Sr. Ruth is survived by her one daughter, Joann Lane Hanke, two sons, Johnny Mac Lane, Jr. (Billie Jean) and Jack Lane. Mrs. Lane had eight grandchildren: Mac, Donnie Stewart, Ashley (Drew), Nina, Audrey, Griffin, McKenna, and Ty. She had three great grandchildren: Katelynn, Summer, and Wade; sisters, Gladys Kinard (Jerry Newton), Linda Barrett, Sylvia Quick, and Suzie Quick; brother, Lewis (Bay) Quick.
Ruth’s greatest love was her Lord, and she was devoted to her family and church. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church where she was an active member and leader in the women’s missionary group, the choir, Sunday School, and youth group. Ruth was a talented seamstress in her younger years. She retired from Pepsi Cola of Bennettsville. She loved hosting family and friends at her home.
She was predeceased by her; husband, listed above; brother, Donald Quick, grandchildren, Brad, William Chad, and Annalaea.

A graveside service will be held 2pm, Thursday, December 31, 2020, at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Blake Godbold.
