Mr. Charles Harrison Odom, Sr. passed away, April 23, 2020 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC after a brief illness. He was 75 years old.

Mr. Odom was born in Marlboro County, SC on July 6, 1944 to the late Rufus Hillard, Sr. and Mary Huckabee Odom. He was a member of Boykin United Methodist Church and a veteran of the United States Army. He graduated from McColl High, then later from Richmond Community College with an Associates Degree in Electronics. He began his work career as a plant manager for Essex in the textile industry. He would go on to become the owner/operator of Odom’s TV Repair Shop, and owner/operator of several convenience stores. He was known as a straightforward businessman. He enjoyed watching and going to NASCAR races, his favorite driver was Bill Elliott. He loved watching Gun Smoke, listening to Russ Limbaugh, and family gatherings.

He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory; wife, Mavis Bullard Odom; son, Chris Odom (Wendy) of Bennettsville, SC; brothers, Rufus Odom, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC and Ronald Odom (Geraldine) of Fountain, NC; sisters, Elizabeth Cook of Rhode Island, Mabel Green of Conway, SC, and Eleanor Hubbard (Tyson) of Darlington, SC; special sister-in-law, Mary Odom of Fountain, NC; grandchildren, Bradley Odom, Andrew Odom, Courtney Odom, and Brice Odom; great grandchildren, Hayden Odom and Hunter Odom.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above; son, Charles Harrison Odom, Jr; brother, Robert Odom; sister, Mary Alice Davis.

A graveside service will be held 3pm Sunday, April 26, 2020, at Sunset Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Jamie English.
