Charlie Freeman passed away Thursday, February 6, 2020 at his residence in Bennettsville. He was 45 years old.
Born October 22, 1974 in Bennettsville, he was a son of the late William Richard and Mary Elizabeth Tyndall Freeman. Charlie was self-employed, working jobs in roofing, drywall, and construction. He attended Bristow Freewill Baptist Church in Brownsville. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking out. He especially enjoyed spending time with his niece, Kaylee Elizabeth Northam.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, listed above; brothers, Steve Wayne Freeman, Richard Freeman, Jr., Larry Freeman, Boyd Freeman, Mark Freeman; and sister, Judy Freeman.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, daughter, Heather Locklear of Hamlet; brother, Hank Freeman (Teresa) of McColl; sisters, Carolyn Allen (William) of Latta, Joanne Holt of Bennettsville, Jeanette Jacobs (Richard) of Wallace, Kimberly Jones of Bennettsville; and grandchild, Anna Marie Langley.
A funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Burroughs Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Dr. Eddie Pruitt. Burial will follow at Bristow Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the funeral home, just prior to the service.
