Mr. David Vance Pearce, widower of Mrs. Patricia Ann Altman Pearce, passed away Monday, April 19, 2021 at his residence after an illness. He was 84 years old.
David was born in Bennettsville, SC on February 22, 1937 to the late John Frank and Lillian Brewer Pearce. He attended Bennettsville Wesleyan Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from the City of Bennettsville Utility Division, after 30 years of dedicated service. After retirement he became owner and operator of Pearce Trucking for more than 20 years. He enjoyed drag racing, working on his trucks, motorcycles, and spending time with his grandchildren and family.
He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory; daughter, Cathy Ardis and husband Jason; brother, Ben Pearce and wife Lydia; grandchildren, Ricky Shane Polson, David Cody Polson, Jesse Lyn Polson and wife Alex, and Gage Ardis; great grandchildren, Ashton, Skylar, Landon, and Jett.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife listed above.
A graveside service with military honors, will be held 3pm, Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Park in Bennettsville, officiated by, Rev. Curtis Williams. A visitation will be held at the grave side from 2:30 pm – 3pm.
