Elizabeth “Lisa” Usher Stewart, 54, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2022, at her residence after an extended illness.

Born March 28, 1968, in Laurinburg, NC, she was the daughter of the late Noah Alfred Usher, Jr. and Josephine “Jo” Hill Usher. Lisa was a graduate of Coker College and was a retired investigator with the S.C. Department of Social Services. Lisa was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Maxton, NC. Lisa loved hummingbirds and flowers and enjoyed gardening, listening to music, especially Bon Jovi, and watching NASCAR with Meredith.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Brian Stewart; daughter, Meredith Brianna Stewart of Rock Hill, SC; aunts, Sara Hill Thomas of Blenheim and Elizabeth "Betty" Hill Goree of Charleston; and other beloved family members and friends.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2022, at Adams Family Cemetery in Adamsville. A visitation will be held from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2022, at Burroughs Funeral Home in Bennettsville.
