Mrs. Geraldine Quick Rowe Johns passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021, at McLeod Hospice House after an illness. She was 93 years old.
She was born in Marlboro County, SC on June 8, 1928, to the late Leamon Earl and Annie Odom Quick. She was a member of New Life Pentecostal Holiness Church and attended Calvary Baptist Church. She worked as a machine operator with the Russell Plant and later at Breeden Grocery and Stanton’s BBQ for many years. She always put faith, family, and friends first. She loved spending time with her family, especially the holidays, cooking, working in the yard, and walking.
She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory; son, Dennis Rowe (Renee); daughters, Becky R. Lackey and Linda R. Miller (Bob); sister, Kathetta Q. Stanton; grandchildren, Lee Lackey (Hollie), granddaughter-in-law, Regina Lackey, Betsy Miller, Karen Sanford (John), Katherine Lowman (Jason), Bryson Rowe (Carrie), Ben Rowe, Shad Rowe (Joni), Selena Rowe, Wendy Odom (Chris), Crystal Moreno (Jesse), Carl Rowe, granddaughter-in-law, Suzette Rowe; numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents listed above; 1st husband, Charles E. “Buddy” Rowe; 2nd husband, John R. Johns; son, Charles E. Rowe, Jr.; son-in-law, Jim Lackey; grandson, Keith Lackey; brothers, L. E. Quick, Elmore Quick, Stephen Quick, and Vernon Quick; sister, Clelon Q. Goodwin.
A graveside service will be held 2pm Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Joe Arnold. A visitation will be held immediately following service at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to one’s choice.
