Mrs. Ina Oliver Catrett passed away Friday, February 7, 2020 at White Oak Manor in Charleston, SC. She was 89 years old.
Mrs. Catrett was born in Bennettsville December 3, 1930 to the late George W. and Hazel Ruth Britt Oliver. She was raised in Bruton Fork Baptist Church and was a devout Christian. She was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant, providing private home care. Mrs. Catrett was twice married, first, to the late James Griffin Catrett and then to Otis Lee Catrett. She loved to dance and travel. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands, listed above; brothers, Virgil Oliver, Carl Oliver, Rudy Oliver; sisters, Bernice Price, and Audrey Miles.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, sons, Roderick Griffin Catrett (Michelle) of Mexico Beach, FL, Ed Catrett (Avie) of Jacksonville, NC, Samuel Catrett (Wynell) of DeFuniak, FL; daughters, Tami Ruth Corbin (David) of Summerville, SC, Lyndell Skaggs of Alabama, Sylvia Anderson of Trinity, NC; sister, Sadie Dunnam of St. Augustine, FL; 18 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild, and many other beloved family members and friends.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Burroughs Funeral Home, followed by burial at Sunset Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. just prior to the service.
