James Fredrick “Freddy” Brock, 73 passed away Saturday, June 12, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Born January 24, 1948 in Bennettsville, SC, he was the son of the late Robert and Vera Rogers Brock. He graduated from Lower Marlboro High School and Chesterfield Marlboro Technical College. He was a Sergeant in The United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam War.
Freddy was a devoted husband, a loving stepfather, granddaddy to Emily (Jack), brother and uncle. He was loved by everyone and never met a stranger. He kept people laughing with his quick wit and always had a nickname for those he loved. Family was always a priority in his life. He was a member of Hebron United Methodist and a Councilman on the Blenheim Town Council.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Sellers Brock who he affectionally called LeRoy. Stepson, Jimmy Parker (Elizabeth); granddaughter, Emily (Jack); brother, Robert L. “Bobby” Brock (Shirley); sisters, Annette Brock Webster, Catherine Brock Hunter; nieces, Robin Brock O’Neal, Polly Brock Hudson (Bryan); nephews, Freddy C. “Buddy” Webster,Jr., Andy Kevin Webster (Linda), Robert Brock Hunter (Jessica).
He was preceded in death by his parents listed above.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Burroughs Funeral Home with burial at Drake-Dudley Cemetery. A visitation will be held at 11:00 A.M. just prior to the service.
