Mary Louise Stancil Bach, 93, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at Mcleod Health in Cheraw, SC.
Born March 13, 1929, in Asheville, NC, she was a daughter of the late Ruby Elizabeth Traywick McCallum and was married to the late Richard Jacob Bach. Mrs. Bach was a graduate of Furman University. She was the retired co-owner of Christy’s Restaurant in North Myrtle Beach, SC, alongside her husband, Richard. She was a former member of the Risen Christ Lutheran Church in North Myrtle Beach. Mrs. Bach a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Bennettsville, where she served as an altar guild, the first Chair of Missions, and was president of the Elizabeth Williams Circle. Mrs. Bach was a member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed gardening.
She was preceded in death by her mother; husband; daughter, Gertrude Anne “Trudy” Bach; brothers, Albert Stancil, John Hugh McCallum, and Bob McCallum.
Mrs. Bach is survived by her daughter, Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Fenters (Bill) of Wichita, KS; sister, Anne Swett of Bennettsville; grandchildren, Holly Williams, Jacob Boland (Brandy), Chad Fenters (Amanda), Thomas Moore (Sally) and Alex Fenters; great grandchildren, Logan, Madison, McKayla, Seth, Katherine, Randall, William, Gabi, Lila, Violet, and Mary Anders; nieces and nephews, Sandy Batchelor, Mandy Bullard, Lawson Swett, and Robbie McCallum.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2022, at Christ United Methodist Church, with a brief visitation to immediately follow the service at the church.
