Obituary

Bennettsville Mrs. Nancy Kennington Goodwin, 78, went home to Jesus on Sunday, April 10, 2022.

Mrs. Goodwin was born to Margurite and Floyd Kennington on May 5, 1943 in Bennettsville, South Carolina, where she lived most of her life.

She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife and mother. Nancy married her husband, Jim, in a double wedding alongside Nancy’s sister, Patsy and her late husband Lewis on August 21, 1965. They went on to have two children, Jimmy and Jamey.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Nancy also loved singing in the choir at her local church. Her greatest passion, though, was caring for her family and all those around her. She will be deeply and greatly missed.

Nancy joins her parents and her brother Donald “Donnie” Kennington in Heaven.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; their children, Jimmy Goodwin (Megan) and Jamey Love (Sam), her beloved granddaughters, Lauren Epps (Will); Megan Love, Katie Sanders (Brandon), Leah Sealy (Kamin), Everly Goodwin and her great-granddaughter, Emily Epps.

Funeral services will be held a11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 15, 2022 at Christ United Methodist Church and burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.

 A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2022, from 6-8 PM at Burroughs Funeral Home.
