Bennettsville, SC Shirley Freeman Caulder,79, of Bennettsville, SC passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 at her residence after an illness.
Mrs. Caulder was born April 20, 1941 in Blenheim, SC a daughter of the late Cletus Freeman and the late Zula Strickland Freeman. She was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents listed above; four siblings, Helen Benfield, Jennings Freeman, Nora Grant and Isalee Gray.
Mrs. Caulder is survived by her husband, Rev. George Caulder, Jr.; six children, Patricia Smith of Wallace, NC, Barbara Mullinax (Terry) of Gaffney, Ricky Smith (Shonda) of Gaffney, Karen Borders of Shelby, NC, Gerald “Brute” Covington (Kim) of Bennettsville and Sherry Wallace (Shunley) of Bennettsville; sister,Gladys Gray of Buchanan, MI; eleven grandchildren, Brandy Wells (Jason), Brittany Lohan (Brian), Casey Blackwell (Johnny), Mitchell Mullinax (Lisa), Ashby Smith, David Borders, Brooke Smith, Heather Leigh Covington, Matthew Knuckles, Jr., Ja’ Micheal Knuckles and Joshua Wallace; eleven great grandchildren, Lane, Nathan, and Jacob Wells, Kendall, Brason and Maleah Lohan, Kevin Jr., Keely and Kylie Holcombe, Tucker Mullinax and Ava Smith.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 PM Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at First Pentecostal Holiness Church conducted by Burroughs Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
